Stephen has significant experience with a wide variety of issues facing healthcare providers, including strategic planning for healthcare providers and entities; civil and criminal healthcare fraud and abuse investigation, defense and prevention; Medicare compliance; mergers and acquisitions; business operations and transactional matters; entity formation and employment issues; structuring transactions to comply with the anti-kickback and Stark fraud and abuse laws as well as regulatory requirements.
Stephen concentrates in complex healthcare transactions. He has been an innovator in the structuring of large horizontally and vertically integrated group practices throughout the country.
In addition, Stephen represents closely-held business entities and their owners. Stephen counsels clients regarding their business operations and transactional matters, including initial entity formation, employment issues, joint ventures, acquisitions, mergers, sales, and succession planning.
