Anastasia works in our healthcare law and business law practices. She has represented and advised hospitals, physicians and physician groups, physician organizations, ambulatory surgery centers, accountable care organizations, long-term care facilities, and independent practice associations on transactional, compliance, and regulatory matters. Anastasia has experience in a wide variety of healthcare matters including hospital affiliations; compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws; HIPAA; formation of physician organizations, accountable care organizations, and independent practice associations; mergers, sales, and acquisitions; and employment and service agreements. She also has experience representing clients in general business law matters, including entity formation; mergers, sales, and acquisitions; joint ventures; and employment issues.
She is a Director of the Onondaga County Bar Association, where she serves on the Executive Committee and is Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Section and Chair of the Law Week Committee. She serves as a Vice President on the Board of the Auxiliary of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Anastasia is also a Director of the Syracuse Hebrew Day School. She volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc. to provide pro bono legal services for low-income individuals. In law school, Anastasia served as Notes Editor of the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review, one of the country’s leading environmental and land use journals.
